FOOTBALL
Beckman: Beckman won the first football league title in the school's history and finished the season 11-3 overall. The Patriots, under first year Coach Ken Mushinskie, also won the Dennis Toohey Fence Post Trophy, which goes to the top football team in Irvine. Beckman's season came to a disappointing end when the Patriots lost to Corona del Mar, 14-13, in the CIF Southern Division finals. But it was still a memorable year for Beckman fans. | |
